Indianapolis went 6-1
this week and improved their season record to 17-7, tops in the International
league. The Indians are 4.5 games ahead
of Columbus in the Western Division.
The only loss of the
week came in game 2 of a double-header against Lehigh Valley. Six different pitchers earned wins this week
for Indy.
Making
a Major League rehab start, left-hander Francisco Liriano allowed just one run
and struck out eight over 5.0 innings against Lehigh Valley on Thursday night.
Josh
Harrison stole home against Lehigh Valley Friday night, one of three scores for
him on the evening.
Indianapolis will play
games 2-4 against Gwinnett at home and then will travel to Lehigh Valley for
four games to wrap up the week.
