Bradenton did not start the season as they would have hoped, falling to an unimpressive 1-8 record. The Marauders did not pick up their first win until yesterday, a 4-3 win over St. Lucie.
This week Bradenton finishes out their series against St. Lucie before traveling to Jupiter for three games. The Marauders come back home for a three-game set against Palm Beach.

Indianapolis Indians Week in Review
Indianapolis opened the 2013 season by splitting a four-game set against Columbus. The Indians lost games one and two, but bounced back with nice wins in the final two games of the series. Those wins carried over to a three-game sweep of visiting Toledo. Indy traveled to Columbus on Thursday, but that game was postponed. The Indians again dropped games one and two, but bounced back to win game three. Indianapolis is in first place of the International League Western Division.
This week the Indians look to tie the series with Columbus before traveling to Toledo on Monday to face the Mud Hens again. They then travel to Louisville for a five-game stint against the Bats.

Altoona Curve Week in Review
The Curve opened the season with a 4-5 record and are currently sitting in fourth place in the Eastern League Western Division. Altoona split a four-game opening series at Erie, winning the two middle games of the series. They split a two-game series at Akron with game three being postponed. The 2013 home opener was Thursday night and they won a 5-4 contest against Harrisburg. The Senators won the next two in that four-game series.
The Curve finish out their home stand with Harrisburg and then welcome the Richmond Flying Squirrels to town. Altoona will then travel to Harrisburg on Thursday for a four-game series with the Senators.

Pirates and Curve Extend Player Development Contract Through 2018 Season
The Pittsburgh Pirates and Altoona Curve have extended their Player Development Contract (PDC) through the 2018 season, the two sides announced today prior to the Pirates-Curve Exhibition Game in Altoona. The announcement was made by Curve owner Bob Lozinak, Curve General Manager Rob Egan, Pirates President Frank Coonelly and Pirates General Manager Neal Huntington in front of a standing-room only, capacity-crowd at Peoples Natural Gas Field.

Curve to host '14 All-Star Game
The Altoona Curve will host the 2014 Eastern League All-Star Game, the team and the Eastern League announced Saturday. The announcement was made by Curve general manager Rob Egan and Eastern League president Joe McEacharn in front of a standing-room only crowd at Peoples Natural Gas Field during the fifth inning of the Pirates-Curve exhibition game.
