Navy 17 - Army 13, 4th Quarter Final

Navy started the fourth quarter trailing the Black Knights by 3.  The Mids were able to drive into Army territory, but were forced to punt when facing a fourth and six on the Army 49 yard line.

Army drove down the field in what looked like a drive that would seal the game for the Black Knights.  Eric Osteen missed a 37 yard field goal wide left and the Mids still have hope.

Freshman Keenan Reynolds led his team down the field to give Navy the lead 17-13.  Reynolds used his passing ability to complete two passes for 59 yards, the biggest a 49 yard pass to Brandon Turner to the Army 8 yard line.

Reynolds used his legs on the next play to score and give Navy the lead and also force Army into needing a touchdown on their final drive.

The Black Knights took over on their own 17 with 4:41 left in the game.  Trent Steelman, Raymond Maples, and Larry Dixon led Army down the field with a powerful running game.  Steelman kept the Navy defense honest by completing two passes to Chevaughn Lawrence for 25 yards.

Army appeared to be heading for a game winning touchdown with a 1st and 10 at the Navy 14 yard line.  Dixon fumbled a hand off and Navy's Barry Dabney recovered the ball sealing the 11th straight win over Army for the Mids.

Keenan Reynolds was named the games MVP.  Navy will travel to San Diego to face Arizona State in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl on December 29.

Army 13 - Navy 10, 3rd Quarter

Navy got the first break of the second half, but was unable to capitalize.  After being forced to punt on their opening drive, Army fumbled the punt return and Navy recovered on the Army 46 yard line.  Army's defense came up big and forced a three-and-out for the Mids.

Army was forced to punt on their next series, but forced and recovered a Navy fumble on their second play. Army was able to drive to the Navy four yard line, but was forced to kick a 21 yard field goal to take the lead 13-10.

Both teams were forced to punt on the next drives and Army leads by three and the end of the third quarter.

Navy 10 - Army 10, 2nd Quarter

Both teams got on the scoreboard in the second quarter.  Army continued their dominance on the ground already gaining 207 yards in the half.

Noah Copeland got Navy on the scoreboard first when he ran for 12 yards to cap off a 9-play, 66-yard drive that took 4:56.  Copeland carried five times on the drive gaining 38 yards.

Trent Steelman was able to move Army right down the field on the next drive to tie the game.  Steelman started the drive with a 20 yard gain and finished the drive with an 11 yard TD run.  Army drove 75 yards on nine plays and only took 2:59 to tie the game.

Not to be outdone, the Mids scored on a 31 yard field goal by Nick Sloan with just 25 seconds remaining in the half.  Navy milked the clock for 5:49 and ran 15 plays on the scoring drive.

Army's offense could not be stopped and the Black Knights drove into field goal range on three big plays from Steelman - two runs for 16 yards and a 19 yard pass to Chevaughn Lawrence.  Eric Osteen kicked a 41 yard field goal that  hit the left upright but went through and tied the game at the half 10-10.

It looks like we have a game on our hands.

Navy 0 - Army 0, 1st Quarter

Neither Army or Navy could put any points on the board in the opening quarter of the 113th meeting between the two schools.  Army has been the more productive team thus far gaining 115 yards to Navy's 27.

Vice president Joe Biden is in attendance and was part of the coin toss in which Navy won.
